Functionality
When building a Shopify multivendor marketplace, Shipturtle’s Vendor Sync feature is essential. It allows vendors on Shopify, WooCommerce, and Squarespace (with more platforms coming soon) to connect and sync their stores to your website. This feature is particularly useful for larger vendors who might be hesitant to use the Shipturtle dashboard for adding products, maintaining inventory, and processing orders. With Vendor Sync, the process works as follows:
1. Vendor connects their website with Shipturtle.
2. Vendor selects products to offer on the merchant's website.
3. Shipturtle pushes the selected products to the merchant's website. A virtual connection is established between the products on both websites via Shipturtle.
4. Whenever the vendor changes a listing, it gets updated on the merchant's website.
4. Shipturtle adjusts and syncs inventory whenever an order is placed or canceled on either side. Any inventory update by the vendor also updates the merchant's inventory.
5. Orders received at the merchant's store are automatically pushed to the vendor's store.
6. The vendor fulfills the order, and tracking details are automatically sent to the merchant's store.
To use the Vendor Shopify Store Connect feature, subscribe to the corresponding plan and add the "Vendor Store Connect" and "Vendor Order Push" add-ons.
Features
Product Syncing
Product mapping is an effective method for synchronizing products between the vendor’s store and the merchant’s store.
In this process, the vendor selects the specific products they want to offer on the merchant’s website, ensuring they align with their own offerings and target audience. The vendor then maps these products to the corresponding listings on the merchant’s platform.
This mapping ensures that the vendor’s products are correctly synchronized with the relevant listings on the merchant’s website, facilitating seamless integration and accurate representation of the vendor’s offerings to the merchant’s customers.
Inventory Syncing
Inventory syncing between a vendor’s store and a merchant’s store is crucial for maintaining accurate and up-to-date product information across platforms. By synchronizing inventory, vendors ensure that product availability, stock levels, and other relevant details are consistent with the merchant’s store. This helps provide a seamless customer experience and prevents issues like overselling or displaying incorrect stock information.
Order Push
Vendor Order Push automatically transfers order information from the merchant's store to the vendor's store for smooth fulfillment.
When an order comes in at the merchant's store, this feature immediately sends all the order details to the vendor's store. The vendor gets notified via email and can start fulfilling the order right away.
Once the vendor completes the order and adds tracking details, this info is sent back to the merchant's store automatically. This setup streamlines order processing eliminates manual work, and ensures both the merchant and vendor are up-to-date on order status and tracking, making customers happier.
If a merchant cancels an order, they can start the cancellation process on their store. The necessary details are then sent to the vendor's store automatically, so the vendor knows promptly and can update their records accordingly.
Merchants can also edit orders directly on their store. Any changes made to order properties like buyer_accepts_marketing, email, phone, note, tags, metafields, and shipping_address_attributes are automatically updated on the corresponding order in the vendor's store. However, this doesn't allow editing the items within an order.
Auto Add and Auto Remove Variants
This feature automatically adds and removes variants for products on the vendor store linked to the merchant store. When a vendor adds a variant to a mapped product, it's automatically added to the corresponding product on the merchant store. Similarly, if the vendor removes a variant from a mapped product, it's automatically removed from the corresponding product on the merchant store. This keeps both stores synchronized with the latest product variations.
Note: Access to this feature depends on the merchant enabling the setting. If the setting is enabled, vendors will be able to use the feature. Otherwise, it won't be accessible.
