Paypal Integration

Paypal Integration

Steps to integrate Paypal in Shipturtle

Select Individual/Business Account option

To integrate PayPal with ShipTurtle, you need to create a PayPal account. Depending on your requirements, you can choose between a Business or Individual account.

Note: An Individual Account does not support receiving payments in your PayPal account.

Create or select app in PayPal

Once your PayPal account is set up, follow these steps to generate REST API credentials for both sandbox and live environments:

  1. Log in to the PayPal Developer Dashboard.
  2. From the DASHBOARD menu, select My Apps & Credentials.
  3. Ensure you are on the Sandbox tab to obtain the API credentials for testing. After testing, switch to the Live tab to get credentials for live transactions.
  4. Under the App Name column, select Default Application, which PayPal creates automatically with a new Developer Dashboard account. If you do not see the default app, click Create App to generate one.

Get the secret key

To integrate PayPal with Shipturtle, you will need a Secret Key and Client ID, which are necessary for making payments to your vendor.

You can obtain the Secret Key from the PayPal Admin panel by navigating to Developers > API Keys. Copy the Secret Key, as it will be required for setting up Shipturtle.

You can access the PayPal Admin panel here: PayPal Settings.

Visit Shipturtle and configure PayPal

  1. Log in to your Shipturtle account and go to Settings > Multi-vendor Settings>Payment Integration.
  2. Click on the Plus (+) icon in the top right corner to create a new payment integration method.
  3. Select PayPal as the payment gateway.
  4. Enter the Client ID and Secret generated from PayPal, then click the Save button.
  5. If the Client ID and Secret are correct, the status will show as "Connected" on the payment integration listing page.

Once connected all your vendors selling their products on your marketplace will be able to complete payment using Paypal.

Note: If you encounter an authorization error while processing payments with PayPal in Shipturtle, please ensure that Payouts are enabled in your PayPal account.
