INTRO

Nicole DeBoom’s passion for sports was evident from a young age, nurtured through countless hours of running, swimming, and biking. As a professional triathlete, she excelled at pushing boundaries, but her aspirations extended beyond her athletic achievements.

In 2004, during a casual run, Nicole conceived an idea that would revolutionize the sportswear industry. Her first venture, Skirt Sports, merged performance and style, empowering women through innovative activewear. This blend of functionality and confidence redefined sportswear for female athletes of all levels.

After the success of Skirt Sports, Nicole identified a new opportunity: a marketplace that connects premium sportswear brands with community-driven sellers. She envisioned a platform offering both niche and pre-loved items, blending sustainability with style.

This vision became eNDE Project—a marketplace embracing innovation, community, and Fusion Commerce Model, a unique combination of B2C and C2C models

BRIDGING GAPS WITH SOLUTIONS

What were Nicole’s biggest challenges

Nicole started her online store on Shopify, leveraging its robust e-commerce infrastructure to bring her vision to life. However, as eNDE Project’s network of vendors grew and its catalog expanded, significant challenges emerged:

Multi-vendor management

Challenge: Managing inventory, orders, and payouts for pre-owned and new apparel from multiple vendors or contributors. Manually communicating with them, switching multiple tabs, keeping excel sheets became unmanageable.

How Shipturtle helped:

  • Onboarded 80+ new & existing vendors with stores across channels
  • Provided a centralized platform for tracking inventory and orders across all vendors
  • Automated vendor payouts & reduction in manual work and errors

Order related logistics

Challenge: Facilitating the resale of pre-loved items, including managing listings, logistics, and payments for peer-to-peer transactions.

How Shipturtle helped:

  • Enabled a smooth C2C marketplace experience by syncing inventory, allowing individuals to upload bulk list items directly, and managing transactions securely
  • Streamlined the process of managing and coordinating shipping for resold items, ensuring faster, more efficient deliveries while reducing manual effort.
  • Successfully handled 309+ order deliveries and managed 646+ products in the pre-loved category

Customer engagement

Challenge: Engaging customers in a superior shopping experience that ensures transparency and trust in quality.

How Shipturtle helped
:

  • Enhanced transparency by providing real-time updates on order status & trackability.
  • Provided vendor performance ratings to ensure that customers can review the products and make informed decisions
  • Build trust through clear communication channels, enabling buyers and sellers to interact seamlessly with automated notifications and messaging systems

Vendor onboarding

Challenge: Quick & easy vendor onboarding in both resale & new apparel section.

How Shipturtle helped:

  • Offered a user-friendly vendor onboarding system with minimal setup requirements
  • Provided training and support to vendors to efficiently manage their profiles and inventory

Managing returns and refunds

Challenge: Creating a robust system to handle returns, exchanges, or refunds for both new and pre-loved items.

How Shipturtle helped:

  • Automated return workflows, making it easier for customers and vendors to process returns
  • Centralized tracking of returns to ensure transparency and accountability
  • Empowered eNDE project to achieve an industry-leading lowest return rate of 1.3%, reflecting high customer satisfaction and product quality

I am so impressed every day that I work with the Shipturtle team. Every time I have a problem, they help me figure out how to solve it. They have gone above and beyond to help me succeed. I highly recommend working with Shipturtle.

When I had launched my business, I had a vision to launch a business that would include 3 different kinds of vendors: C2C sellers, small business vendors and on-demand printing/manufacturing vendors. I didn't even have a website yet. Shipturtle have given me phenomenal support with their customer care. I would consider myself a "high maintenance" customer for Shipturtle and they never make me feel like I'm asking too much or being annoying!
